This is the most convenient type of service. We will monitor the propane tank for you. We fill it up when the tank is between 20% - 30% capacity. Over time we learn your usage requirements and schedule your propane delivery accordingly. (This service requires a credit check)
You monitor the tank. When it is around 20% - 30% of capacity, call us 1-2 days in advance of your scheduled route day and request a delivery. You then receive a bill in the mail for the propane. (This service requires a credit check)
Metered accounts work just like PG&E. At the end of each month we come out and read your meter and send you a bill for the amount of gas you used.
Opening a Metered Account requires a $250.00 deposit. This deposit is paid before your account is opened and the gas is turned on. This deposit is required because you will be using the propane before you are billed for it. Your $250.00 deposit will remain on record with your account until the account is closed. The deposit will then be applied to your last month’s balance.
Tell us what is required to get to your tank
We will need any animals you have on your premises to be secured on delivery day. If there are loose animals our drivers will not deliver your Propane.
***Locked Gates: if we arrive on your scheduled route day and the customers gate is closed / locked we will drive away, it is the customers responsibility to have their gate open on their scheduled route day or a key or gate combo must be provided, WE DO NOT OFFER PHONE CALLS OR DELIVERY TIMES. We only know the scheduled route day.
New Kemgas tanks comes partially filled with enough fuel to pressure test the system and get you up and running. This way you can start using the tank immediately without waiting for the delivery truck to come on your scheduled route day. Because of this you may receive 2 Propane bills your first month (one for the initial amount of Propane and the other for the Propane used to fill your tank completely on your first route day).
***Tax Exemption: customers only qualify for tax exempt if the residence is their primary residence. (This means they live there more than 6 months out of the year)
(For more information on tax exemption for Propane, please see the LPG Sales Tax Exemption Form)
All propane sales are final. All invoices are due and payable now. Accounts with balances remaining unpaid for 20 days from invoice date may be subject to interrupted gas service and will be assessed a LATE FEE of $14.95 or 1.5% (which is an ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE of 18%), whichever is greater. Your cancelled check is your receipt. A $25 fee will be charged on all returned/declined credit cards and checks. All tanks are subject to interruption/lock-off for non-payment, including customer owned tanks.
